The open socket is primarily designed for use with grab rails, backstroke and false start sets, water polo goals and post lane line fixings. When not in use a drop in cover (displayed in the product image but sold separately) can be inserted for a flush finish.

The socket itself is installed using an epoxy resin into the pool surround.
